Amber Heard is switching legal counsel going into her appeal of the Johnny Depp defamation trial verdict.
On Monday, August 15th, a spokesperson for the 36-year-old actress announced that she hired David L. Axelrod and Jay Ward Brown of Ballard Spahr to lead with Ben Ron Bourne continuing his cocounsel.
Elaine Charleston Redhoff, who represented the actressin the six week Fairfax County, Virginiatrial earlier this year, is stepping down.
Following that announcement, the Texas native hasendeared public backlash for assembling an allmaleteam, despite claiming to be a feministand a woman's rights activist.
